Often enough I will be going to a new place. Everytime a brand new poem with a fresh stamp will be put in my suitcase.

Quatrain: Climbing to New Heights

Intro: This poem is about tackling Mount. Everest. But hidden in it is a moral which is: No matter how big a challenge may seem never give up. The rhyming scheme is ABCB

Climbing to New Heights

I stand at the bottom, looking up.
Got my gear and I'm ready to go!
Up that mountain
In the freezing snow.

Climbing higher and higher
Going one foot at a time.
Beneath my frozen feet the snow crunches
To my numb ears it sounds like a chime.

Conquering Man's greatest fear
I stand at the top, looking down.
Amazed at what I did
A smile grows on my face, definitely not a frown!

As I descend down I think:
"I never thought I could overcome this!"
Even with all the obstacles
I still achieved bliss.
